Services & Capabilities
Composites Universal Group has you covered.
With nearly 30,000 sq ft of elbow room, our manufacturing facility houses two 5-axis CNCs, 40 ft. curing ovens, 35 ft. commercial paint booth, MVP resin infusion machines, and a state-of-the-art composites layup facility. Plus, a team of friendly, highly skilled engineers and composites specialists greet each project with a can-do attitude.
Quick turn prototypes that still achieve the aesthetics, tolerances, and expectations of a production part.
Meticulous process quality control on every project, every time.
Lean manufacturing principles to ensure cost and lead time targets are met.
R&D and Prototyping
Whether you require turnkey product development or input at a critical stage of the design process, we can help you leverage precision engineering to take products from conceptualization through high-volume production. We’ll assist throughout the R&D and Prototyping phases to offer design for manufacturability suggestions, guiding you through options in materials and manufacturing processes to hit your delivery targets.
Additionally, our ISO9001:2015, AS9100:D, ITAR Compliant DDTC Registered accreditations allow us to provide welding services and fabrication for ground support equipment for companies like Lockheed Martin, Sierra Space, Sierra Nevada Corp, Leidos, and more.
Tooling
Our team of skilled technicians, certified welders and ironworkers are on hand to create shop aides, test frames, jigs, and fixtures to assist in trim, drill, and assembly operations in higher volumes or when tight tolerances require beyond what scribe lines in the molds can provide.
Scalable tooling options are available to suit a variety of project sizes, including direct-cut molds ready for part production for low volume or prototyping. Traditional master patterns utilize various substrates to create fiberglass or carbon fiber composite molds, typically required by long-term/high-volume production where the size of the part, surface finish, or CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) dictates materials.

Design & Engineering
While fully capable of build-to-print jobs, we bring composites expertise to assist in the design of products and processes to maximize the benefits of using composite materials. Providing DFM (Design for Manufacturing) recommendations, we can help your engineers meet cost and lead time targets by choosing suitable materials and processes from our full range of capabilities.
Not an expert in tooling or assembly fixtures? Not a problem. Send us your part files and we’ll take care of designing the tooling and necessary fixtures for you.
Parts Fabrication
Whether flat plates or complex 3D geometries, we can help select the appropriate fabrication method based on your requirements and our 30+ years of experience.

Assembly
More than just a parts manufacturer, our composite assembly technicians can bring it all together and provide fully built, ready-to-ship complete assemblies – including integrating composite sub-assemblies and components built in-house with outsourced components.
By designing and producing custom shop aides/jigs/fixtures to support the assembly process, we ensure conformity and consistency from one build to the next.
Paint & Finishing
In addition to high-quality composite surface finishes, we can prepare components and sub-assemblies for in-house applications of aerospace-grade primers and topcoats.
Bananza 35 ft. Commercial Paint Booth:
- 35ft x 18ft x 10ft
- Operating temps up to 250F
- Flow-Through heating system
- Manufactured to NFPA 86 Standards
Inspection
Our FARO laser CMM ScanArm captures precise measurement detail on complicated parts and objects. By analyzing master patterns, mold surfaces, and tooling we’re able to ensure conformity to customer specifications, consistency, and repeatability.
Need to reverse engineer a product? If you do not have accompanying drawings, the FARO Arm can scan physical parts for exceptionally accurate conversion to CAD models.
Adaptive manufacturing
Full-service capabilities for engineering services, prototyping, tooling, and production – scalable to suit your unique project scope and timeline.
